The fund aims to outperform its benchmark of Stefi + 2% over a rolling 12-month period. The manager’s primary focus will be to achieve higher levels of income growth than a traditional money market or income fund.
The typical investor would be someone that has a shorter term investment horizon, or an investor that requires higher levels of income.
Investment policy
The portfolio will be managed in compliance with prudential investment guidelines for retirement funds in South Africa to the extent allowed for by the Act. The equity exposure will be limited to 10% of the portfolio’s net asset value. Investments to be included in the portfolio will, apart from assets in liquid form, consist of equity securities, property shares, property related securities, non-equity securities, interest bearing instruments and securities, preference shares and money markets instruments.
